CHEESE BAITS

1. HALF POUND LIMBURGER CHEESE
2. OAT MEAL
Melt cheese over med. heat. When thoroughly melted remove from heat and
mix
in oatmeal until the mixture is stiff enough to stay on a hook.
Try mixing other ingredients in place of oatmeal such as liver meal, hog
or
dairy feed, or finely ground chicken. Expermenting is great and you can
always freeze your creations.

1. ONE PINT MILK
2. HALF POUND LIMBURGER CHEESE
3. TWO TABLESPOONS MOLASSES
4. OATMEAL
Bring milk to boil over med. heat. Add limburger cheese and mix well. Then
add molasses and oatmeal stirring till thick. Remove from heat and add
more
oatmeal until the mixture is thick and tough enough to stay on a hook.

DOUGH BAITS

1. ONE PINT MILK
2. ONE TABLESPOON SALT
3. CORNMEAL
Bring milk to boil over med. heat. Add cornmeal slowly stirring with
wooden
or plastic spoon. Add enough cornmeal till thick then remove from heat.
Add
more cornmeal until the bait is thick enough to stay on hook. Allow bait
to
age one week in a warm place and smells sour.

Catfish Dough Bait
* 1/2 Cup of cooked oatmeal
* Mix the oatmeal with equal amounts of cornmeal and flour
with some Big
Red Soda until a stiff dough is created.
* Mix separately a quarter cup each of sugar, salt and garlic
powder and
set aside.
When ready to fish, roll a pinched off doughball in the container of
sugar,
salt and garlic.

* Pieces of hotdogs
* Pork snout or fatback
* Leftover trimmings of fat and gristle from cooked steaks
that have
been marinated in Italian dressing.
